# Review mail held in Quarantine

To review quarantined mail, expand **Category** in the left pane and click **Quarantine Mail**. It lists mail held back as suspicious, or from senders outside your address book if you chose that antispam option. Open a mail to check it, and mark genuine mail **Not Spam** to release it.

## How to review mail held in Quarantine

1. In the left pane, click **Category** to expand the list.
2. Click **Quarantine Mail**.
3. Open a mail to check the sender and content.
4. If it is genuine, mark it **Not Spam**.

## When to use it

> Meera at acme.in is waiting for a purchase order from a new customer. It isn't in her Inbox, so she opens Quarantine Mail, finds it held because the sender wasn't in her address book, and marks it Not Spam.

## Good to know

- Quarantine Mail is a category view in the left pane, next to the other smart categories.
- Treat quarantined mail with care. Don't open attachments or links in a mail you don't recognise.
- To decide whether unknown senders go to quarantine, use **Settings › Security › Antispam**.

## Common questions

**A customer says they mailed me but I can't find it. Where should I look?**

Check **Quarantine Mail** and the **Spam-Promo** folder. If your organisation uses the antispam dashboard, also check there.
