# Move a mail to another folder

To move mail, tick the mails in the list, or open one mail, and click **Move To**. Type part of the folder name in the box to filter the list, then click the folder. Your own folders and sub-folders, Inbox, Spam-Promo, Secure and Trash are all available as targets.

## How to move a mail to another folder

1. In the mail list, tick the mails you want to move, or open a single mail.
2. Click **Move To** in the toolbar.
3. Type a few letters of the folder name in **Enter folder name** to narrow the list.
4. Click the folder. The mails move straight away.

## When to use it

> Meera handles the Acme account at example.in. She ticks the five mails from the client, clicks **Move To**, types "acme" and clicks **Clients/Acme**, so all client mail sits in one place.

## Good to know

- Sub-folders are listed under their parent, for example **Clients/Acme**.
- Moving mail into **Secure** needs enough free space in your Secure folder. XgenPlus warns you if there is not.
- You cannot move a mail into the folder it is already in.
- Mail found through archive search can only be moved to **Trash**.
- To move every mail that matches a search, such as all mail from one sender, use **Bulk Move**.

## Common questions

**Why can't I move a mail from Secure to Trash?**

Mail in the **Secure** folder is protected, so XgenPlus blocks moving it to Trash.

**Why isn't Draft or Snoozed in the list?**

Draft, Template and Snoozed are special folders, so they cannot be used as a target for **Move To**.
