# Move bulk and promotional mail out of Inbox

To keep newsletters and bulk mail out of your Inbox, open **Settings › Rules/Advance Forwarding** and, at the top of the **Rules** tab, tick **Move spam or bulk mail to a spam-promo folder**. Mail that the spam filter marks as spam or bulk then goes to the **Spam-Promo** folder, where you can still read it.

## How to move bulk and promotional mail out of Inbox

1. Click your profile picture, then **Settings**, and open **Rules/Advance Forwarding**.
2. On the **Rules** tab, tick **Move spam or bulk mail to a spam-promo folder**.
3. Open the **Spam-Promo** folder in the left pane to see the mail that was moved.

## When to use it

> Rohit in sales at acme.in gets dozens of offers and newsletters a day. He turns this option on, and his Inbox shows only mail from customers and colleagues. Once a week he skims Spam-Promo for anything useful.

## Good to know

- The sorting is done by the spam filter on your organisation's mail server. Mail it does not mark as spam or bulk stays in the Inbox.
- If a genuine mail lands in Spam-Promo, open it and mark it **Not Spam**.
- Mail left in Spam-Promo is removed automatically after 30 days. It is not gone for good: you can recover it from **Archive of Deleted Emails** within your domain's retention period, 7 days by default.
- Untick the option to stop moving mail.
