# Add your signature to new mails

Your signature is added automatically. Save it once in **Settings › Signature**, and every new mail and reply you open in **Compose Mail** starts with it. You can still edit it in the body for one mail. If your admin has set an organisation signature, it is added too and the mail cannot be sent without it.

## How to add your signature to new mails

1. Open **Settings** and go to **Signature**.
2. Write your signature and save it.
3. Click **Compose Mail**. Your signature is already in the body.
4. Edit the signature in the body if this mail needs something different.

## When to use it

> Every mail from Rakesh, a branch officer at a cooperative bank, carries his name, designation and branch phone number from his own signature, plus the bank's regulatory footer that the domain admin added for everyone.

## Good to know

- Your own signature can be edited in the body for a single mail. The saved version does not change.
- The organisation signature is set by your domain administrator, and only if the server administrator allows it.
- Each address in your **From** list can have its own signature.

## Common questions

**Can I have a different signature for another address I send from?**

Yes. When you add another address to the **From** list, you can give it its own signature and choose **Add Signature to all messages**.

**Why can't I remove the company footer?**

Your domain administrator has set an organisation signature. It is required, and a mail without it is not sent.
