# Set the default font for new mail

To set your default font, open **Settings › Default Settings** and find **Default Email Font**. Choose a font, such as Arial, Verdana, Tahoma or Georgia, and a **Size** from 1 (8 pt) to 7 (36 pt). New mails you write then start in that font and size. You can still change the font inside any single mail.

## How to set the default font for new mail

1. Click your profile picture, then **Settings**, and open **Default Settings**.
2. Under **Default Email Font**, choose a font.
3. Choose a **Size**.

## When to use it

> The office of a law firm on example.in agrees that all client mail should be in Tahoma at a readable size. Each person sets it once as their default font.

## Good to know

- There are 18 fonts to choose from.
- The setting applies to new mails. Mails you have already sent keep their font.
