# Decrypt a PGP-encrypted mail

To read a PGP-encrypted mail, open it and click **Decrypt Mail** beside the date. Enter the passphrase of your private key and confirm. The mail body then appears. You need a PGP key pair set up in Settings, and the sender must have encrypted the mail with your public key.

## How to decrypt a PGP-encrypted mail

1. Open the encrypted mail. Its body is locked.
2. Click **Decrypt Mail** beside the date.
3. Enter your private key passphrase and confirm. The mail opens.
