# See how much space each folder uses

To see folder sizes, click your profile picture, open **Folders**, and click **Calculate** next to a folder or next to the total. XgenPlus shows the number of mails, the space used and a meter of how much of your total space that is. Clean up the biggest folders first to free space.

## How to see how much space each folder uses

1. Click your profile picture at the top right and open **Folders**.
2. Click **Calculate** next to the folder you want to check, or next to the total.
3. Read the space used and the percentage **of Total Space** in the meter.

## When to use it

> Meera's mailbox at example.in is almost full. She calculates folder sizes and finds that "Scans" uses more than half of her space, so she saves the scans to storage and deletes them from mail.

## Options

| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Records | The number of mails in the folder. |
| Space used | How much space the folder takes. |
| **of Total Space** | A meter showing the folder's share of your mailbox space. |
| **TOTAL** | The figures for your whole mailbox. |

## Good to know

- Sizes are calculated when you click **Calculate**, so click it again after a clean-up to see the new figures.
- To clear many old or large mails at once, use Advanced Search and select all matches.
