# Block a sender or domain from a mail

To block a sender, open the unwanted mail and click **Block**. In **Block Unwanted Email**, tick the address under **Please Block Email From**, or the whole domain under **Please Block all Email From**, and click **Block**. From the mail list, tick mails and click **Block** to block their senders.

## How to block a sender or domain from a mail

1. Open the unwanted mail and click **Block**.
2. In **Block Unwanted Email**, tick the addresses to block, or tick a domain to block everyone at that domain.
3. Click **Block**.
4. From the mail list instead, tick the mails, click **Block** and confirm.

## When to use it

> Meera keeps getting offers from several addresses at spammy-offers.biz. She opens one mail, clicks **Block**, ticks the domain under **Please Block all Email From** and blocks them all at once.

## Good to know

- Ticking a domain selects every address from that domain automatically.
- **Block** is not shown in Sent, Draft and Template, on broadcast mails, or on mails shared with you.

## Common questions

**How do I unblock someone?**

Open Settings › **Block**, find the entry with **Search Address** and click **Unblock**. Blocking from the mail list is a separate action and does not use that Settings list.

**Why can't I block my own domain?**

XgenPlus does not let you block your own address or your own domain, so you never cut off mail from your colleagues by mistake.
