# What you can ask an AI assistant about your mail

Once connected, you can ask your assistant for a morning briefing, inbox triage, draft replies, a thread summary, unanswered follow-ups, free time for a meeting, a contact's address or figures from invoice attachments. Each request needs certain permissions. The assistant cannot yet change calendar events or contacts, manage tags or rules, search inside message bodies, or permanently delete anything.

## When to use it

> Meera starts each day by typing "What needs my attention today?" Her assistant lists unread mail from clients, today's meetings and two invitations she has not answered.

## Cannot do yet

- Create, change, accept or decline calendar events.
- Edit contacts.
- Manage tags or mail rules.
- Search inside message bodies. Search covers sender, recipients and subject.
- Permanently delete anything.

## Common questions

**Can the assistant accept a meeting invitation for me?**

Not yet. It can list invitations waiting for your response, but you accept or decline them in XgenPlus webmail.

**Can it search the text of my mails?**

Search covers sender, recipients and subject. It can open and read a mail it finds, but it cannot search inside message bodies yet.
