# Fix MCP connection problems and limits

If your client asks you to authenticate, the token is missing or wrong, so make it again with no spaces or line breaks. `SCOPE_REQUIRED` means a permission is off. `POLICY_DENIED` means the agent password is disabled or expired. `RATE_LIMITED` means too many requests, and the message says when to retry. A held send is waiting in Drafts.

## When to use it

> Rohit asks his assistant to move vendor mail to a folder and it reports SCOPE_REQUIRED. He turns on Move email for his agent password and asks again ten seconds later. It works.

## Problems and fixes

| What you see | What it means and what to do |
|---|---|
| The client asks you to "authenticate" or opens an OAuth sign-in | The token is missing or wrong. Make it again from your email and agent password, base64, with no spaces or line breaks. Check the header is `Authorization: Bearer <token>`. |
| "available only for mailboxes at …" (HTTP 403) | MCP is not enabled for your domain. Contact XgenPlus support. |
| `SCOPE_REQUIRED` | That permission is off for your agent password. Turn it on in webmail. |
| `POLICY_DENIED` | The agent password is disabled or expired, or the account is blocked. |
| `RATE_LIMITED` | Too many requests. The message says when to retry. |
| A send came back "held" | It is in Drafts. Review it and send it from webmail. |
| `DELIVERY_UNKNOWN` | The connection dropped while sending. Check Sent before trying again. |
| "Stored message not available" | The stored copy of that message could not be reached. Try later, or open it in webmail. |

## Limits

| Item | Limit |
|---|---|
| Lists and searches | 50 items per page |
| Search window | Up to 365 days, 90 days by default |
| Attachments | Download up to 5 MB; attach up to 10 MB per message |
| Recipients | Up to 20 per send |
| Calls | 120 per minute, including 30 searches |
| Sends | 20 per hour, 100 per day |

## Good to know

- All limits are set by XgenPlus and may change.
- For a larger attachment, open the mail in webmail.
