# AI assistants and MCP questions

Your mailbox password is never shared with the assistant; it uses a separate agent password. Assistants are told to confirm before sending, and risky sends are held for review. Nothing is ever permanently deleted. ChatGPT and claude.ai need OAuth sign-in, which is coming soon. Administrators can see who has enabled AI Agent (XgenPlus MCP), but message content is never logged.

## When to use it

> Neha's manager asks whether connecting Claude to her mailbox shares her password. Neha opens this page and shows that the assistant uses a separate agent password she can revoke at any time.

## Common questions

**Is my mailbox password shared with the AI?**

No. The assistant uses only the separate agent password.

**Can the assistant send mail without asking me?**

Assistants are instructed to confirm before sending, and many clients ask before each tool call. Risky sends are always held for review. If you do not want sending at all, leave Send email off.

**Can it delete my mail?**

Only move it to Trash, and only if you turn on Delete email. Nothing is permanently deleted.

**Which AI should I use?**

Any client with a setup guide on this site. XgenPlus does not endorse a provider. Check its privacy terms.

**Does it work with ChatGPT or claude.ai?**

Not yet. They need OAuth sign-in, which is coming soon. Claude Desktop works today through a bridge.

**Can my company's administrator see that I use it?**

Yes. Administrators can see which users have enabled AI Agent (XgenPlus MCP). XgenPlus keeps access logs for security; message content is never logged.

**Is Sign in with XgenPlus (OAuth) supported?**

Not yet. It is coming soon.
