# Connect Cursor to XgenPlus Mail

To connect Cursor, make your token, then add the XgenPlus server to `~/.cursor/mcp.json` for all projects, or `.cursor/mcp.json` for one project. Use the block below and replace `<TOKEN>` with your token. Cursor then shows the XgenPlus tools in its MCP settings, and the agent can use them in chat.

## How to connect Cursor to XgenPlus Mail

1. Create your agent password and [make your token](/developers/mcp-make-a-token/).
2. Open `~/.cursor/mcp.json` for all projects, or create `.cursor/mcp.json` in one project.
3. Paste the block below and replace `<TOKEN>` with your token.
4. Open Cursor's MCP settings and check that **xgenplus** is on and lists its tools.

## When to use it

> Rohit keeps release notes in Cursor. He asks the agent to collect this month's customer feedback mails and add a summary to the notes file.

## Configuration

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "xgenplus": {
      "url": "https://mcp.xgenplus.com/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <TOKEN>" }
    }
  }
}
```

## Good to know

- Never commit a project `.cursor/mcp.json` that contains your token. Use the environment variable form instead.

## Common questions

**How do I keep the token out of the file?**

Put it in an environment variable, such as XGENPLUS_TOKEN, and write `"Authorization": "Bearer ${env:XGENPLUS_TOKEN}"` in the file. Cursor fills it in when it starts.
