# Copy an event to another date

To duplicate an event, open it in **Calendar**, change its date or time, tick **Duplicate** and click **Save**. When XgenPlus asks whether to update the existing event or create a new one with the same details, choose to create a new one. The attendees, venue, resources and description are copied.

## How to copy an event to another date

1. Open the event in **Calendar**.
2. Change the date or time to when the copy should take place.
3. Tick **Duplicate**.
4. Click **Save** and choose to create a new event with the same details.

## When to use it

> Anita runs "Excel Basics" training for Batch 1 on Tuesday. She duplicates it to next Tuesday for Batch 2, keeping the training hall booking and the trainer, then swaps the attendee list.

## Good to know

- The copy must be on a different date or time from the original.
- For a meeting that happens on a fixed pattern, such as every Monday, make it repeat instead.
