# Check for meeting clashes

When you save a meeting that overlaps another meeting or a resource that is already booked, XgenPlus shows a **Meeting Conflict** window. Choose **Save Meeting** to keep it anyway, **Change Time**, or **Check Schedule** to see your month. You can also click **Check Schedule** in the event editor at any time.

## How to check for meeting clashes

1. Create or move a meeting in **Calendar** and click **Save**.
2. If the **Meeting Conflict** window lists clashing meetings, choose **Save Meeting**, **Change Time** or **Check Schedule**.
3. In **Check Schedule**, filter by **Busy**, **Tentative** or **Free** to find a gap.

## When to use it

> Meera tries to move the director's review to 11 am. XgenPlus warns that he already has a vendor call then, so she opens Check Schedule and picks 2 pm instead.

## Good to know

- Events marked **Free** do not count as a clash.
- The check also covers rooms and other resources you added on the **Meeting Resources** tab.

## Common questions

**Does it check my attendees' calendars too?**

No. The check covers your own calendar and the resources you requested. To see colleagues' time, ask them to share their calendar with you.
