# Edit the welcome mail for new users

To change the welcome mail, open the admin console, go to Manage Domain(s), expand your domain and click Alert/Notice, then open the Welcome Message tab. There are two mails, Welcome Message I and Welcome Message II. Edit From, Subject, CC, Bcc and the message in each and click Save.

## How to edit the welcome mail for new users

1. Open **Manage Domain(s)**, expand your domain and click **Alert/Notice**.
2. Click the **Welcome Message** tab.
3. In **Welcome Message I** or **Welcome Message II**, fill **From**, **Subject** and the **Message**, and add **CC** or **Bcc** if needed.
4. Click **Save** under that welcome mail.

## Fields

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| **From** | Sender address. Required, one address only, and it must belong to your domain. |
| **Subject** | Subject line. Required. |
| **CC** and **Bcc** | Optional copies. Each must be a valid address, and **From**, **CC** and **Bcc** must all be different. |
| **Message** | The body of the mail, in a rich-text editor. |
| **To** | Shown for information: the mail goes to the subscriber or email account holder. |
| **Save** | Saves that one mail. |

## Example

> Rohit sets **From** to `hr@acme.in` in **Welcome Message I** and writes a short welcome with the helpdesk number. In **Welcome Message II** he adds a second note for new joiners. Each is saved with its own **Save** button.

## Good to know

- Each welcome mail is saved separately.
- All addresses you enter must be existing mailboxes in your domain.
- The text applies to your domain only.

## Common questions

**What is the difference between Welcome Message I and II?**

They are two separate mails, each with its own sender, subject, copies and text. Edit and save each one on its own.

**Why am I told a user does not exist in this domain?**

The **From**, **CC** and **Bcc** addresses must be real mailboxes of your domain. Create the mailbox first or use another address.
