# Set domain time zone, language and holidays

To set regional options, open Edit Domain, click the **Option** tab, choose **Set Time Zone** and **Default Languages**, and use **Add Holiday** for office holidays. Click **View / Save Changes** and confirm to save the time zone and language. Holidays are saved as soon as you add them.

## How to set domain time zone, language and holidays

1. Open **Edit Domain** for your domain and click the **Option** tab.
2. Pick a value in **Set Time Zone** and in **Default Languages**.
3. To add a holiday, click **Add Holiday**, enter the date and name, and click **Save**.
4. Click **View / Save Changes**, check the list, then click **Save**.

## Options

| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Set Time Zone** | The domain time zone. |
| **Default Languages** | The default language for the domain. The whole user interface and the date format change to this language. Choices: English, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Marathi, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, Sinhala, Thai, Korean, Japanese, Kannada, Malayalam and Assamese. |
| **Add Holiday** | Opens a window to add a holiday. Enter **Date of Holiday** as DD/MM/YYYY and **Name of Holiday** (up to 100 characters), then **Save**. |
| **Show Holidays** | Lists holidays with number, date, name and action. Use **Edit** or **Remove** on holidays you added. Holidays that are not yours show no action. |

## Example

> The Chennai office of acme.in sets the time zone to India, picks Tamil as the default language, and adds 15/08/2026 as "Independence Day" so calendars show it.

## Good to know

- Holidays save the moment you click **Save** in the window. The time zone and language need **View / Save Changes**.

## Common questions

**Does the time zone change for users who already exist?**

Only if **Apply To All Users** was on when you saved. Otherwise it applies to new users.
