# Let another domain's admin manage yours

To let another domain's admin manage your domain, open Admin console › Manage Domain(s), click the pencil next to your domain and click **Add Domain Admin**. Enter their email address, click **Send Verification Code**, then type the code they receive and click **Verify**. You can add up to 10 admins.

## How to let another domain's admin manage yours

1. Open **Manage Domain(s)** and click the pencil icon next to your domain.
2. On the **Domain** tab, next to **Add Other Domain Admin**, click **Add Domain Admin**.
3. Type the other admin's email address in **Email Address** and click **Send Verification Code**.
4. Ask that admin for the code from their mail, type it in **Verify Code** and click **Verify**.
5. To take access away later, click the delete icon in the **Revoke** column of their row.

## Options

| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Add Domain Admin** | Opens the "Grant Access Of your domain To Other Administrator(s)" box. |
| **Email Address** | The address of the other domain's administrator. |
| **Send Verification Code** | Mails a code to that address. |
| **resend email** | Sends the code again. |
| **Verify Code** | The code the other admin received. |
| **Verify** | Confirms the code and grants access. |
| **Cancel** | Clears the fields so you can start again. |
| Table of admins | Shows **S.No.**, **Authorized Admin**, **Added By**, **Date** and **Revoke** for each admin who has access. |

## Example

> Acme Group runs acme.in and its subsidiary acme-labs.in on the same XgenPlus server. Anita, the acme-labs.in admin, adds Meera's address, `meera@acme.in`. Meera reads out the code from her mailbox and Anita types it in. Meera now searches for acme-labs.in in the search box and manages its users.

## Good to know

- You see **Add Other Domain Admin** only when you are signed in as the administrator of that domain.
- A domain can have at most 10 admins from other domains.
- The other address must belong to a domain administrator of another domain on the same server.
- The code goes to the other admin, so you must be in touch with them while you set this up.
- The table also records who added each admin and on what date. Billing administrators do not see this option.
- Deleting a row removes access straight away. A "Deleted" message confirms it.

## Common questions

**Who can I add?**

Only a domain administrator of a different domain hosted on the same XgenPlus server. The address of a normal user, or of your own domain, is refused.

**How does the other admin reach my domain?**

After they sign in, they type your domain name in the search box at the top of the admin console. Your domain then appears under their Manage Domain(s) menu.

**I did not get the code. What now?**

Click the **resend email** link shown under the box. The code is mailed to the other admin, not to you.
