# View mail statistics for your domain

To see mail volume, open Admin console › Reports › Domain Statistics. You start with the incoming and outgoing mail count and size for your domain. Click the domain name, then a year, a month and a day to see the busiest senders and receivers, and click a user to read their mail log.

## How to view mail statistics for your domain

1. Open **Reports** in the sidebar and click **Domain Statistics**.
2. Click your domain name to see the mail count and size for each year.
3. Click a year, then a month, then a day to narrow down.
4. On the day page, click a user name to list that user's mails.
5. Click a mail to open **Mail Log Details**, and use **Print Report** if you need a copy.

## What you see at each level

| Level | What it shows |
|---|---|
| **Domain Mail Statistics** | One row for your domain with **Incoming Mail / Size** and **Outgoing Mails / Size**, plus **Total** and **Average** rows. |
| Years | One row per **Year** with the same counts and sizes, plus **Total** and **Average**. |
| Months | One row per month. |
| Days | One row per **Day** of the month. |
| Day details | Four lists: **Receivers By Incoming Mails**, **Senders By Outgoing Mails**, **Receivers By Size** and **Senders By Size**. Each shows **Username**, the number of mails and the size in KB. |
| User details | The mails for one user on that day: **From**, **To**, **Time / Size (KB)** and **Status**. Use the previous and next arrows to page through. |
| **Mail Log Details** | The full log entry for one mail. **Print Report** prints it and **Close** returns to the list. |

## Moving around

| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Domain, year, month or day link | Goes one level deeper. |
| **Show Domains**, **Show Years**, **Show Months**, **Show Dates** | Links at the bottom of each page that take you back up. |
| **Show All** / **Show Top 10** | On the day page, switches the lists between the top 10 and every user. |

## Example

> Anita at acme.in notices the mail server was slow on Monday. She opens **Domain Statistics**, clicks acme.in, the year, the month and the 14th. **Senders By Outgoing Mails** shows one mailbox sending far more than the rest. She clicks it and finds Rohit's account sending the same newsletter many times.

## Good to know

- Sizes switch between KB, MB, GB and TB depending on the amount.
- You can see only your own domain, unless a server administrator has allowed you to manage other domains.
- The figures are counts of mails recorded in the mail log, not of mailbox contents.
