# Turn domain services and features on or off

To change what your domain can use, open Edit Domain, click the **Option** tab, and use the **Services For Domain**, **AI Setting** and **Default Value For Domain** boxes. Switch each service or feature on or off, then click **View / Save Changes** and confirm. A service your server administrator has not allowed stays off.

## How to turn domain services and features on or off

1. Under **Manage Domain(s)**, click the pencil icon next to your domain name to open **Edit Domain**, then click the **Option** tab.
2. In **Services For Domain**, switch each service on or off.
3. In **AI Setting** and **Default Value For Domain**, switch the mail features you want users to have.
4. Click **View / Save Changes** at the bottom of the tab.
5. Check the list of previous and current values, then click **Save**.

## Services for the domain

Each service has a **Start / Stop** switch. Only services that your server administrator has allowed for your domain can be switched on.

| Service | What it covers |
|---|---|
| **SMTP-IN** | Receiving mail for your domain. |
| **SMTP-OUT** | Sending mail from your domain. |
| **POP** | Mail programs that connect with POP. |
| **IMAP** | Mail programs that connect with IMAP. |
| **HTTP** | Webmail in the browser. |
| **CHAT** | Chat for your users. |
| **ANTI-VIRUS** | Virus scanning of mail. |
| **OFFICE** | The Office service. |
| **VIDEOMEET** | Video meetings. |

## AI setting

| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| **AI Compose** | Lets users use AI help while writing a mail. |
| **AI Reply** | Lets users use AI help to reply to a mail. |
| **Generate Auto Reply** | Appears only when **AI Reply** is on. Lets users have automatic replies drafted. |

## Mail features in Default Value For Domain

| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Show Global Address Book** | Shows the domain directory to users. When on, a **Select Domain** list appears so you can include other domains in the directory. Use the plus button to add a domain by name. |
| **Show Admin Address Book** | Shows the address book that you maintain. |
| **Allow sending mails only to Global and Admin Address Book or give another domain names** | Limits who users can send to. Type extra domain names in the box next to it to allow those as well. |
| **Enable multiple from-id (Outgoing mail display name) on this domain** | Lets users send from another address they own. |
| **Enable 'Save to folder' (Outgoing Mail)** | Lets users choose a folder for sent mail instead of Sent. |
| **Allow Hide Attachment** | Lets users hide an attachment inside another file. Then, for each user (in Add User, Edit User or Bulk Update), choose **Internal Domain** so the user can send hidden attachments only within your organisation, **External Domain** so the user can send them outside your organisation as well, or **Disallow**. |
| **Enable Assignment Module** | Turns on automatic assignment of mail in your domain. |
| **Show What's New Page** | Shows the What's New page to your users. |
| **Show right click menu** | Turns the right-click menu in webmail on or off. |
| **Enable Delivery Report** | Lets users ask for delivery reports. |
| **Edit disclaimer while sending mail** | Lets users edit the domain disclaimer while they write a mail. |
| **Enable Attendance and Tracking** | Turns on the attendance and tracking service for the domain. |
| **Allow Advance Forwarding** | Lets users forward mail with conditions. Shown only while it is already on. After you tick it, **Force Update** gives it to all existing users straight away. |
| **User Signature Template** | Shown only when your server administrator has enabled signature templates. Tick it to write one signature for everyone. |

### Write the signature template

After you tick **User Signature Template**, an editor opens.

1. Pick a field from **Insert Add. Tags**, such as first name, designation, company name or work phone, to add it to the text.
2. Click **Preview** to see the signature.
3. Click **Force Update** to give the template to all existing users now. Otherwise it reaches users when you save.

## Example

> The admin at acme.in turns on **Show Global Address Book** so Meera and Rohit can find each other, turns off **Allow Hide Attachment**, and switches on **User Signature Template** with the company name and work phone so every mail looks the same.

## Good to know

- Nothing is saved until you click **View / Save Changes** and then **Save**. **Reset** brings back the saved values.
- Allow Mailing List and the What's New setting for all domains are controlled by your server administrator and are not shown to you.
- If **Show right click menu**, **Allow Hide Attachment** or other defaults are changed, existing users get them only if **Apply To All Users** was on when you saved.

## Common questions

**Why is a service switched off and I cannot turn it on?**

Your server administrator controls which services your domain may use. If a service was not allowed for your domain, its switch stays off. Ask your server administrator to allow it first.

**Do these changes reach users who already exist?**

Domain-level switches apply from the next save. To copy the chosen defaults to every existing user as well, switch on **Apply To All Users** before you save.
