# Encrypt stored mail for the domain

To store mail encrypted, open Edit Domain, click the **Option** tab, switch on **Enable Data Security** and click **View / Save Changes**, then **Save**. All mail is encrypted before it is stored so no one else can read it. Plan for about 33% extra storage.

## How to encrypt stored mail for the domain

1. Open **Edit Domain** for your domain and click the **Option** tab.
2. In the **Enable Data Security** box, switch the toggle on.
3. Click **View / Save Changes**, check the list, then click **Save**.

## Options

## Example

> A law firm at lexco.in switches it on and asks its server administrator for more storage.

## Good to know

- The screen notes 33% extra space is required.
