# Apply domain options to all users

To copy domain settings to existing users, open Edit Domain, click the **Option** tab, change your options, switch on **Apply To All Users** and click **View / Save Changes**, then **Save**. The switch turns off again after each save. It works in the background, so large domains take a moment.

## How to apply domain options to all users

1. Open **Edit Domain** for your domain and click the **Option** tab.
2. Change the options you want.
3. Switch on **Apply To All Users**, near the bottom.
4. Click **View / Save Changes**, check the list, then click **Save**.

## What it changes

The label is "Force the Settings given on this page for all existing users of this Domain". It copies these to every user:

- the address book switches and the extra domain list
- the services allowed (the Start / Stop switches)
- daily incoming, outgoing and data limits, attachment size and recipient limit
- disallowed attachment types and both BCC settings
- hide attachment, multiple from-id and advance forwarding
- the domain name allowed for sending, the time zone and the right click menu
- the dark mode theme
- the dual authentication choice, for users with an alternate email or a mobile number saved

## Good to know

- If **Allow sending mails only to Global and Admin Address Book** is on, forwarding rules of all users are deleted. A message warns you before you confirm.
- Only user accounts that read mail on XgenPlus are changed.
- It is not shown to billing administrators.

## Common questions

**Is there a simpler way to update individual users?**

Yes. The page itself suggests the bulk update option to change settings for particular users.
