# Change one setting for all users at once

To change a setting for every user, open Admin console › Manage Domain(s) › your domain › Bulk Update, set the value you want in the section you need and click its Update button. A box tells you how many users already have it and how many will change. Click OK to apply it to all users.

## How to change one setting for all users at once

1. Open **Manage Domain(s)**, expand your domain and click **Bulk Update**.
2. Find the section you need, for example **Set Limits For Users On This Domain**.
3. Set the value or choose **Enable** or **Disable**, then click that row's **Update** button.
4. Read the box that appears. It shows how many users already have the option and how many will be changed.
5. Click **OK** to apply it to every user, or **Cancel** to stop.

Every row has its own **Update** button. Press only the one for the row you changed. The other rows are not saved.

## Services For Users on Domain

Switch the services on or off for all users with one **Update**. The switches are **SMTP-IN**, **POP**, **HTTP**, **SMTP-OUT**, **IMAP**, **ANTI-VIRUS**, **CHAT**, **OFFICE** and **VIDEOMEET**. A switch is greyed out when the domain does not have that service.

## Theme Mode For Users

**Enable Dark Mode** and **Enable Light Mode** each have an **Update** button that sets that mode for all users.

## Set Limits For Users On This Domain

Type a whole number. **0 means unlimited.** A value cannot be more than your domain's own limit or what the domain still has left.

Some rows for optional services appear only when your domain has them.

|---|---|
| **Expires on** | A date for all users. It cannot be in the past or later than your domain's expiry. |
| **Deactivate if inactive for (Days)** | Switch it on, type the number of days and click **Update**. |

1. Next to **Search User(s) By**, click **User name** or **Exp. Date**.
2. Type a name, or pick a date, and click **Search**.
3. In the table, tick the users. Their **Name**, **Email**, **Activation Date** and **Expiry Date** are shown.
4. Pick the new date and click **Update**. It cannot be later than your domain's expiry.

## Example

> Acme India renews its contract to 31 March. Meera opens **Bulk Update**, sets **Expires on** to 31/03 and clicks **Update**. The box says 12 users already have this date and 188 will be changed. She clicks **OK**. The same day she sets **Max Attachment Size** to 25 for everyone.

## Good to know

- Each change applies to every user in the domain, new and old. Groups have the same page for their members only: click the Settings icon in **Manage Groups**.
- Nothing is saved until you click **OK** in the confirmation box.

## Common questions

**Does an Update button change all users or only some?**

All users of the domain. To change only some, use the Settings icon on a group, or upload a file in Bulk Add on the Update User Details tab.

**Why is a service switch greyed out?**

Your domain itself does not have that service, so users cannot be given it.

**Can I undo a bulk change?**

There is no undo button. Run the opposite change, for example Disable after Enable. Limits and dates need their old values typed again.
