# Add a resource to your domain

To add a resource to your domain, open the admin console, go to Manage Domain(s), expand your domain and click Add Resource. Choose the Resource Type, choose the Resource Name from the second list, and click Save. The entry appears in the table below, where you can edit or delete it.

## How to add a resource to your domain

1. Open **Manage Domain(s)**, expand your domain and click **Add Resource**.
2. Choose the **Resource Type**.
3. Choose the **Resource Name**. The list shows the resources that exist under that type.
4. Click **Save**.
5. To change or remove an entry, use the edit or delete button in **Actions** in the table.

## Fields

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Domain** | Your domain. Shown for information and cannot be changed. |
| **Resource Type** | The type of resource. The list contains the types of your domain. Required. |
| **Resource Name** | The resource under that type. Required. It fills after you choose a type. |
| **Save** | Adds the entry. |
| **Update** | Appears while you edit an entry. Saves your changes. |
| **Reset** | Clears the form. Appears while you edit. |
| Table | Columns **Domain**, **Resource Type**, **Resource Name** and **Actions** with edit and delete. |

## Example

> Rohit opens **Add Resource** for `acme.in`, chooses the type **Room** and the resource "Board Room", and clicks **Save**. It now shows in the table for his domain.

## Good to know

- The type and name must both be chosen before you can save.
- Deleting an entry asks you to confirm.
- Types and resources are created under **Add Resource Type**.

## Common questions

**The Resource Name list is empty. What should I do?**

Create the resource first. Use **Add Resource Type** to add the type and, in its **Resources** box, the resource itself. Then return to **Add Resource**.

**Why does it say the entry already exists?**

Each resource can be added to your domain only once for a given type. Edit the existing entry instead.
